2021.09.27 20:37 toddhoffious Looking for advice and testers for my new iOS fitness app: Max reHIT Workout

Howdy,
This is my side project and I’m hoping to find people to help test my new iOS app. You know how hard it can be to just find people to try something. I'd appreciate your suggestion on both the app and how does one go about marketing an app like this.
thanks
Here's the full pitch:
Max reHIT Workout guides you through proven reduced-exertion high-intensity interval workouts wherever you are, whenever you have time, doing exercises you enjoy. Become your own personal interval trainer and get fit, get healthy, and lose weight in just 23 minutes a week.
REHIT workouts use short cycles of intense exercise, followed by periods of recovery. They’re based on research revealing one very unexpected fact about exercise: exercise intensity is more important than exercise duration.
The 40 Second Workout, for example, looks like: 3 minute warmup, 20 seconds at a max sprint, 2 minute recovery period, 20 seconds at a max sprint, and ends with a 2 minute cooldown.
That’s 7 minutes and 40 seconds to complete a workout. With a goal of 3 workouts a week, that’s only 23 minutes a week. Almost everyone can find 23 minutes to exercise in a week.
And the results—increased cardiorespiratory fitness, lower all cause mortality, weight loss, muscle gain, reduced blood pressure, improved metabolic health, better insulin sensitivity, a sense of achievement, increased enjoyment—have proved equal to or superior to an hour of moderate aerobic exercise. All gained with the least amount of exercise possible.
You can do any exercise you’re comfortable with: walking, swimming, elliptical, treadmill, running, biking, spinning, weight lifting, jumping rope, running in-place, rowing, etc. As long as you can get your heart rate up, choose an exercise you enjoy doing. Personally, I use an elliptical machine at home, and it works great. High-intensity does not have to mean high-impact.
Why does REHIT work so well? It’s how your body works.
High-intensity interval training gives your body the same signals to change and adapt as endurance training, only with a lot less effort. The signal is a rapid decrease of fuel stores in muscle cells. So it's not about how long you exercise, it's about exercising hard enough to draw down your energy stores fast enough that your body will give you all the amazing benefits of exercise in a fraction of the time.
You might be interested in trying Max reHIT Workout if you want to:

  1. Make exercise part of your lifestyle for all the obvious reasons, but just haven’t for all the equally obvious reasons. You really can get the benefits of an hour of steady aerobic exercise with just a single minute of intense exercise.
  2. Go from fit to fitter. Olympians, professional athletes, all use HIT to boost performance. It’s proven technology.
  3. Delay the insidious effects of aging. Exercise, while not quite a fountain of youth, slows down aging better than any other approach we know of.
  4. Skip long boring workouts. Conquering intense short intervals generates a genuine sense of achievement. You’ll feel more alive, more energized, and more awake.
Max reHIT Workout removes the traditional barriers to exercise. It’s time-efficient, flexible, enjoyable, and gets results. In short, it's exercise you can do and fit into your life.
The app balances simplicity with useful information, and works for nearly anyone at any ability level.
Max reHIT Workout Features:
  1. Research-backed workouts. A large body of research shows REHIT can significantly improve your health and fitness in just 23 minutes a week. Make every minute count.
  2. 5 free workouts. The free version is fully functional. Try before you buy. No sign up or credit card required. Just open the app and go.
  3. 16 workouts. Some are short, some are long, some are easy, some are really hard. You won’t get bored and you can dial-in the level of challenge. Can’t choose? Use the Randomizer and let fate decide. Unlock to access all 16 workouts.
  4. Work out on your own. No need for a gym or exercise class. Interval training is hard to do because it requires following precise timings and interval changes. Max reHIT Workout guides you step-by-step through each workout with encouraging voice and text prompts. You will succeed.
  5. Workouts that fit into your life. Most people can find time for an 8 minute workout that gets proven results.
  6. Choose exercises you enjoy. You can make a REHIT workout of walking, swimming, elliptical, treadmill, running, biking, spinning, weight lifting, jumping rope, running in-place, rowing, nearly any exercise you like doing.
  7. Voice and text prompted. You can complete the entire workout without looking at your device.
  8. Visual and intuitive to use. An entire workout is explained and tracked in one picture.
  9. Excellent queuing. No confusion on what to do next.
  10. Choose music for extra motivation during the warmup, intervals, and cooldown.
I figured this would be a great group to provide thoughtful, experienced feedback.

If you aren’t familiar with TestFlight, it's Apple’s way for developers to send apps to users for testing. Don’t worry, downloading apps through TestFlight is safe and secure.
Max reHIT Workout has an in-app purchase to get the Pro version, which unlocks all the workouts. While using TestFlight, in-app purchases are free, so please go to Settings and Go Pro.
I really think this is a good app that can help people find their healthy path. I'd appreciate your feedback and suggestions on making it better.
Thanks!

2021.09.27 20:37 h2ohoh What roaster are you using for your small-scale roastery?

Curious what roasters (brand, capacity) folks are using, who have transitioned from home roasting, to selling your beans on a relatively small scale (farmers markets, local pickup etc.).

2021.09.27 20:37 Sea-Independence2926 Origins of Strabismic Amblyoplia?

As a premature baby I had surgery to correct the right one of my two "lazy" eyes. Nothing was done with the left, which is very near-sighted and drifts outward when tired. My right eye vision has been excellent until recently developed astigmatism, but does shoot out and up when I'm using my left eye for close vision. Why I chose to rely on my left eye for near sight and not completely ignored it I have no idea. I just remember my childhood eye doctor commenting on how well I'd compensated on my own. Is this Strabismic Amblyoplia? No one has ever offered any more information than the above except for one optometrist who congratulated me on not having to have reading glasses in my middle age.
